I wasn’t aware that music was banned during this time, though I had an inkling about the torture techniques just from the news. It was still eye-opening for sure. But I have to say in this installment, I was more focused on getting to know the characters. WebIn 2015, I reviewed the first Lagercrantz sequel (The Girl in the Spider's Web) to Larsson's Millennium trilogy, criticising it as a "timid, plodding, second-rate imitation" of the original series. I've not read the next two sequels but this new departure has turned out much better than Spider's Web.
