WebTressa Prisbrey, born in Easton, Minnesota found her way to Santa Susana, California (now Simi Valley) and eventually purchases the land at 4959 Cochran Street. Grandma Prisbrey started the whimsical project on her 1/3 acre lot on Cochran Street in 1956. She didn't begin construction until she was 60 and didn't stop until 1981 at 85. WebTressa Luella Schaefer was born in Minnesota in 1896. She eventually ended up in Southern California, where she created a whimsical assemblage of structures and sculptures built out of recycled glass.
